International Travel Certificates at Bond Vet

Important Notice: Due to the ongoing government shutdown, we’re unable to provide international travel services and certifications at this time.

For the most up-to-date information on when services will resume, we recommend checking the USDA APHIS Pet Travel website.

Traveling abroad with your pet?

If you're planning to travel internationally with your pet, it's important to be aware of the specific requirements and regulations that apply to your destination(s). At Bond Vet, our team of experienced and accredited veterinarians can help you navigate the complex process of international pet travel.

It's important to keep in mind that international pet travel can be unpredictable, and unexpected delays or complications can occur. Please note that traveling with your pet internationally involves a degree of uncertainty.

Timeline

Bond requires that you complete a travel inquiry at least 100 days prior to your anticipated international travel. Once the inquiry is completed and the documentation required is received, we will schedule your appointments for the appropriate timeframe. As a general guide, you will need to visit a Bond clinic for your examination by a USDA-certified veterinarian no more than 10 days before your departure date for your pet's travel certificate.

How It Works

  1. Submit an inquiry.

  2. The Bond Vet team will review your request and reach out to you to let you know whether we have received all necessary information to issue your certificate or if more information is needed. Once we have all necessary information, we can schedule your pet’s appointment and collect a non-refundable $100 deposit to be applied to the costs of your travel appointment.

  3. Meet with an USDA-accredited veterinarian: During your appointment, our USDA-accredited veterinarian will perform the USDA Exam and complete all required documentation and confirm your destination and whether your pet will travel in cabin or in cargo.

  4. We will then send your required documents to the USDA for endorsement.

  5. Once the USDA has completed this process, they will either email or mail them to you (depending on the requirements of your destination).

  6. Bon Voyage: Enjoy your trip with your furry companion!

  7. Once the USDA has completed this process, they will either email or mail them to you (depending on the requirements of your destination).
