Came to Bond Vet because of their availability on short notice, one of many things this clinic does well. It's not impossible to book next/same day. A beloved cat was in need of end-of-life care, something that requires a really honest assessment of what’s possible, what’s practical, and what’s best for the cat, hopefully the latter being most considered. A frank, competent vet is so essential and Dr. Anna Kaufman and her team were ideal in this setting. All options were presented, pros and cons, and costs were transparent. Dr. Kaufman very patiently answered all of my questions, clearly and objectively, until there was some clarity about the best course of action. Also, without going into detail, there was a novel shift in the cat’s behavior while at the vet and seeing how Dr. Kaufman navigated this and updated her assessment with clear and concise guidance was truly special. She’s a really outstanding vet. Also want to address an issue that often comes up with Bond Vet: cost. Without a doubt their prices are the ‘new normal’ of chain vet clinics, higher than one would like, but in many ways this is not different than my experiences with vets (mostly independent) in NYC over the last 20+ years. Most will initially present you with a full package of treatment so extensive and costly that it’s hard to imagine anyone opting for it. Bond does this, like all the rest, but will work with you to break down a treatment plan so that it is more manageable in terms of cost, prioritizing the care that’s likely most impactful/least invasive first, and going from there. I can’t say I’ve had this experience everywhere. Also, as grim a task as it was, I received quotes from a number of vets for end of life procedures and Bond’s price was very competitive. All a way to say that if you’re concerned about cost, as I am/have to be, don’t rule out Bond for this reason alone. They were wonderful in my experience and will work with you.

We LOVE the staff 💕 Even though we moved out of the City upstate, we still made the long trek in to BondVet at Cobble Hill! My beagle Max just melts into Dr.Polina Mikhelzon’s arms and VA Yasline spoiled him with so many cuddles🥰.

These folks are really the best. I've had a lot of pets over the years and tried several vet practices in the area, and these guys blow them all away with both competence and kindness. When my Barklay (dog) was getting neutered, and when he got a teeth cleaning, the staff and doctor were very available for questions and concerns. I never felt rushed or unsure or blindsided about anything. One particular staff member, Janisel, went out of her way to text me updates about when my guy went into surgery, how he was doing, etc. It made the whole process a lot less anxiety inducing, which I really appreciated. I've never gotten that much care and empathy at my own HUMAN doctor appointments! I'm aware that the prices at Bond can be a bit higher than some of the other places in the neighborhood, but they are worth every penny. I have two cats and a dog, and they all go here. Honestly at this point I don't trust anyone else with my little fur babies.
