What does a routine checkup include?

A checkup is a comprehensive nose -to-tail examination by a doctor who will customize a medical plan based on your pet’s needs and answer questions you may have. If our doctor recommends additional treatments or diagnostics, we’ll go over what they are, why they would be beneficial, and how much they cost beforehand.

Do you accept pet insurance?

Yes, we take all pet insurances, and our Ditmas Park team will be more than happy to help you submit a claim.

Do you offer teeth cleanings and dental surgery?

Yes! Our Ditmas Park clinic has a dedicated dental suite to provide the best dental cleaning experience for your pet. During the cleaning, an oral exam is performed, full-mouth radiographs are taken, teeth are scaled and polished, and we remove calculus from the tooth's surface and under gum lines. We then probe the teeth to measure the pockets that exist under the gum lines. If teeth are very unhealthy, we remove them.

I decided to try Bond Cortelyou because the vet two blocks from me isn’t great. Upon walking in, I was impressed by the waiting room and friendly front-desk staff. Vet tech was wonderful, as was doctor. My cat purred through the exam and was relatively calm. She explained step-by-step plan for my cat’s ingrown toe nail, which I appreciated. I also got detailed after-care instructions, and an email summary. Will definitely make the switch for my cat’s future care.

Love that this is here in the neighborhood. Been here three times for two different cats and they've been consistently excellent. Even handled my stressed cat so well the last time she started trying to get attention from them instead of just crying. You can tell the team really care about your pet. They give good advice, make the extra effort, and are easy to book with. They also offer virtual visits if you just need advice or need something like gabapentin prescribed ahead of coming in for a visit. Would highly recommend coming here!
