What does a routine checkup include?

A checkup is a comprehensive nose -to-tail examination by a doctor who will customize a medical plan based on your pet’s needs and answer questions you may have. If our doctor recommends additional treatments or diagnostics, we’ll go over what they are, why they would be beneficial, and how much they cost beforehand.

Do you accept pet insurance?

Yes, we take all pet insurances, and our Forest Hills team will be more than happy to help you submit a claim.

Do you offer teeth clinics and dental surgery?

Yes! Our Forest Hills clinic has a dedicated dental suite to provide the best dental cleaning experience for your pet. During the cleaning, an oral exam is performed, full-mouth radiographs are taken, teeth are scaled and polished, and we remove calculus from the tooth's surface and under gum lines. We then probe the teeth to measure the pockets that exist under the gum lines. If teeth are very unhealthy, we remove them.

“We've been at this office since they opened after my dog wound up at Blue Pearl with pneumonia.. Our main vet is Dr. Karandikar who is a great vet, takes the time to explain everything and does a thorough exam. She had just given my dogs physicals and I received the bloodwork the next day on one of my dogs that to me (after Googling) was upsetting. Dr. Karandikar was not available, but another vet (whose name I missed) took the time to explain to me that my dog was fine. This meant a lot to me. “I brought my dog in without an appointment because I was concerned he possibly came into contact with rat poison that was outside my building after he began to vomit. They saw him immediately and wasted no time getting him treated. Dr.Karandikar was so kind, patient, answered all my questions and explained what all aspects of treatment she thought were necessary and why.
